Fogonogo, an interactive opera for babies and toddlers, is on 20 May. It costs £8 per child, £2 per accompanying adult and £5 per extra adult. Book at spitalfieldsmusic.org.uk.

In May half term there will be workshops and free family activities inspired by the Rachel Whiteread’s celebrated artwork Place (Village). From 29 May to 2 June choose from print workshops, design your own colourful townscape and using block printing. £5 per child, age seven-plus.

Or in the Little Lantern Houses workshop, children aged four and above can create illuminated paper houses for £7 per child.

Meanwhile, adults can learn about the rich history of the East London’s Boundary Estate, and its residents, in an evening event on 25 May.
Visitors can explore the exhibition Searching for Ghosts and listen to a fascinating talk from Sarah Wise. It costs £7 including a glass of wine/beer.
