Stephen Selby pays tribute to the men whose ingenuity brought clean water and good health to Hackney
Rachel Whiteread’s celebrated artwork Place (Village) (2006-2008) is now on permanent display. It’s a sculptural work featuring around 150 dolls’ houses, collected by Whiteread over 20 years, which joins the 100+ dolls’ houses in the museum’s own collection.
This Easter visitors can take part in workshops and free family activities during the holidays:
April 5-7 and 12-14, Recreating memories photography workshop, 11am & 1.30pm, £7 per child, age 5+.
April 3-7, Make a mini model home, 10.30am, 12pm, 2pm & 3.30pm. £5 per child, age 4+.
April 10-14, Create a good luck charm, 10.30am, 12pm, 2pm, 3.30pm, £5 per child, age 4+
April 23, Folk music and dance traditions with rousing song and dance performances for St George’s Day, free.
