Christmas festivities at the museum run until 6 January so be sure to get along to enjoy spectacular decorations events and activities for all ages.

Take in the Game Plan. See the Board Games Rediscovered exhibition to find inspiration for some new festive games.

Interactive family tours available on 10, 20, 27 December and 14 January. Ages five and up can take the challenge and solve the mystery by visiting some of the museum’s fascinating objects for clues.

The Christmas meet and make Come along on 8 December and make your own decorations drawing inspiration from the collection, while unwinding with a mince pie and glass of wine from the bar (adults of course!) You can also join The Workbench jewellery designers to create a silver ring. Doors open at 7pm, entry £5. The jewellery workshop costs £50.

Christmas board games quiz. Londonist‘s Matt Brown presents questions with a festive twist, 15 December. Bar opens at 6.30pm (quiz 7-9pm) , £7pp.

The Watch Talk Think film season starts on 26 January with Au Revoir Les Enfants (12A).
